Lloyd Pereira is a Melbourne based photographic artist and scientist who is passionate about engaging the natural world and science in his art practice. In 2016 he completed an Advanced Diploma in Photography at Photography Studies College, Melbourne.

The subject of our identity lies at the centre of his practice. Drawing on his scientific background his work blends art and science to explore how nature and its rhythms shape our human and physical qualities.

Using the interplay between light, shadow and colour his images explore the physical matter of the natural world and transform it into a photographic examination of what we are. His images serve to guide us towards a greater empathy for the living world and ourselves.
